What We Believe
What we believe shapes how we live, serve, and worship.
The Bible
We believe that the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God and is useful for
teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God
may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16.)
God & the Trinity
We believe that there is one eternal and triune God who has revealed Himself as three distinct persons – God The Father, God The Son, God The Holy Spirit.
(Mark 1:10-11, Matthew 28:19, Ephesians 1:3-14)
Jesus Christ
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the only Son of God. He was conceived by Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Jesus led a sinless life, shed His blood and took our punishment by paying for man’s sin on the cross. Jesus proved His divinity by the countless dramatic miracles that He performed; casting out demons, healing the sick, raising the dead, commanding storms to cease, etc.… And, after three days, Jesus rose from the dead and is now seated at the right hand of God in Heaven!
We are saved by God’s grace, through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Anyone can be restored to fellowship with God through repenting, believing, and receiving Jesus into their heart as their Savior and Lord. Ephesians 2:8-10.“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Because of what Jesus has done for all of mankind, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under Heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:10-12. “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” Romans 10:9-10.

The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is co-equal, co-eternal and co-existent with The Father and with The Son. He is the divine presence of God and lives within every Believer. His ministry upon the earth is to convict and convert man as well as be the great comforter, counselor, helper, intercessor, advocate, strengthener and standby to The Church. The Holy Spirit empowers Believers through the gifts He has given us to serve others and build up The Body of Christ. The Holy Spirit’s primary function is to empower Christ-followers to be a witness and testimony of Jesus everywhere we go. (Luke 3:16, John 15:27, Acts 1:5 and 1:8, 1 Corinthians 12:1-31).
The Church
We believe the Church is Jesus’ Body in the Earth. We are called by Jesus, Our Head, to seek and save those who don’t know Him yet and fulfill the great commission. The Church/Jesus’ Body, birthed in the earth on Pentecost, is the fulfillment of Mattew 6:10. The love, unity, power and harvest of the early Book of Acts Church is The Gospel of The Kingdom that will be preached in all the world, as a witness and testimony to allnations, before the end comes. Matthew 24:14. Jesus is currently restoring His Body/Church, in and over cities, back to the love and complete unity of His early Book of Acts Church. Regardless of our denominational, socio-economic, cultural, racial or any other barriers, He’s focusing us on people and once again mobilizing us to reach multitudes! Isaiah 46:10. The end of this New Testament Church Age is going to be just like the beginning, except not just one Upper Room Church but thousands of them all over this nation and world!
The Resurrection
The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation, together with those who are alive and remain until the coming of The Lord, is the blessed hope of The Church. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.
Water Baptism
We believe Water Baptism is a public, outward testimony of a person’s confession of faith and life surrendered to Jesus. Acts 10:47-48.
The Ministry of Reconciliation
We believe that every Christ-follower should have a passion to make Jesus known in their spheres of influence, lay down their lives to encourage and disciple others, and live out their God-given Ministry of Reconciliation. (Acts 1:8; Mark 16:15-18; 2 Corinthians 5:18).
Marriage
We believe marriage is a sacred bond established by God and is the uniting of one man and one woman in a lifetime commitment. Matthew 19:4-6. (Matthew 19:4-6.).
